Marie-Josée Shaar

After a first career in the fast-paced corporate world, Marie-Josée Shaar, MAPP 2007, founded Smarts and Stamina to promote healthy lifestyles. Like all our regular authors, she has a Master in Applied Positive Psychology, but she is also certified as a Nutrition and Wellness Consultant, a Personal Trainer and a Wellness Culture Coach.

Through research, coaching and teaching, MJ developed a health promotion model that is effective, highly customizable and that limits the amount of self-discipline needed to achieve success. Today she offers wellness workshops to various organizations and continuing education to wellness professionals. She has worked for prestigious wellness companies, Fortune Companies, universities and governmental agencies.

Her book co-written with Kathryn Britton, MAPP, is titled Smarts and Stamina: The Busy Person’s Guide to Optimal Health and Performance, and offers 50 well-researched avenues to better health habits.

Follow her on Twitter for quick wellness ideas and updates via @gotsas, or see www.Facebook.com/SmartsAndStamina to take part in a community of health promoters.

I am a registered psychologist (M.A.P.s) of nearly thirty years counselling experience ,a personal trainer and state level squash player with extensive training in positive psychology,, member of IPPA. etc etc and find that the reality of using these strategies with clients is not as easy as presented and wonder how many of these “tips” have been used with real people. I would be really happy to hear about some real evidence. Please let me know. What has been done and has it worked.

Hi Lyn!

I have written about 18 articles on this site so far, and I would be happy to discuss further any idea/tip you would like. Since you have posted your comment on my bio and not on a specific article, I am not sure which one(s) you are interested in. Could you please be more specific? It will be my pleasure to give you more details.

Best,

MarieJ

Our editors at http://www.MatureResources.net are very excited that Marie has been selected as one of our expert writers with her specialty of positive psychology.

As a monthly internet magazine and professional directory focusing on baby boomers and seniors, Marie brings us a variety of articles covering topics enhancing our readers’ personal and professional health and growth.

I just looked up Marie on Google and found the two highest rankings were her own website; Google rankings # 3 and #4 were from our website. That’s the power of internet article writing and online promotions. They work.

Thanks again Marie,

Sharon
