Mr. Turner has 25 years of experience in the private industry. Before joining Balfour Beatty, he was a Director of Human Resources at Fannie Mae where he worked for 15 years in the areas of human resources, training and development, organizational development, and employee relations. Prior to his work at Fannie Mae, Mr. Turner worked with the American Red Cross at the National Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Turner holds a Master of Applied Positive Psychology degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a masters degree in management from National-Louis University and a bachelors degree in organizational communications from Brigham Young University.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Turner also serves as the voluntary leader of a religious congregation with over 400 members. He and his wife, Laurie, have two wonderful daughters: Sara and Annie and reside in Northern Virginia.
Mr. Turner contributed a chapter to the Positive Psychology News book, Character Strengths Matter.

What a great article. I have worked with other positive focus techniquese such as the positive focus, developed by Dan Sullivan at The Strategic Coach. I particularly enjoyed how you boil it down to a few short guidelines for leaders.
