Aren Cohen

Aren Cohen, MBA, MAPP, is a graduate of the Masters of Applied Positive Psychology program at the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied with Professors Martin Seligman, Chris Peterson, and George Vaillant. Aren is an educational consultant and learning specialist who uses positive psychology and proven educational philosophy to work with academically, motivationally and emotionally challenged students.

Focusing primarily on the work of Drs. Seligman and Peterson on Character Strengths, as well as Dr. Carol Dweck’s work on Mindsets, Aren uses the tenets of positive psychology to teach her students to use their strengths of character to change educational challenges into educational triumphs.  Aren’s students are enrolled in a wide variety of the leading schools in New York City.  She maintains her own website at www.StrengthsforStudents.com, and can be reached at arenrcohen@gmail.com.  She is a member of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA) and the International Educational Consultants Association (IECA).

Along with her Masters in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, Aren holds a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Harvard University and her Masters of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
