Love Photo Contest!
Positive Psychology News Daily author Dave Shearon is offering three copies of Positivity by Barbara Fredrickson to the winners of PPND’s first ever contest!
To enter, simply go to www.flickrcc.bluemountains.net, uncheck the “Editing” box and check “Commercial.” This will give you flickr photos with Creative Commons licensing allowing for commerical use, e.g., they could be used in a powerpoint for a paid seminar. Then start searching. When you have found a picture, just copy the attribution information and post it in a comment to Dave’s February 17 article with any explanation of why you think it is appropriate. Hey, if you’ve already got a copy of Positivity, you can always find someone to give a copy to.
What is the attribution information? On a given search result page, there is an attribution that appears above the picture on the right after you have clicked on the thumbnail on the left. Look for the word “Attribution” and include what’s underneath it, both title and browser address. Here’s an example, though a different picture may be selected when you click on this link:

Nick, I got a smile on my face just looking at your entries. Thanks! (BTW — though I’m not sure yet how PPND will pick the winners, it won’t be me. I’m just looking forward to sending the books!)
I’m not entering — but I thought this was an interesting use of a ring!
