Hi WJ
I followed some of the conference on webcast. Barbara Fredrickson mentioned her research on mindfulness & positive emotion. I think the research paper was Fredrickson et al (2008) Jnl of personality & social psych 95, 1044-1062.

Loved the Twitter updates Senia. Much gratitude.
Bridget, thanks so much for leaving the detailed information about Fredickson et al (2008) research on mindfulness and positive emotion. What a bonanza to get this information. I am working on my final integrative project as a Masters student in Counseling Psych, and I am targeting the positive effects of what mindfulness may bring to both the therapist and people who enter into the therapeutic relationship. My Best, JEN
Thanks so much for the Twitter updates Senia. I hope that there will be a posting of the conference video at some point available for those of us who sadly missed it! It sounds like it was an enlightening day. Thank you.
Senia,
I plan to post my CGU summary on the 30th. I hope your lovely bits and pieces and my longer article make sense together.

Kathryn,
Here is a post on storytelling at sciam.org. I thought of your interest in the power of the story.

Thank you, Jeff! I think stories can be very powerful. I always think about Albert Bandura saying that psychologists don’t have good social diffusion mechanisms, which is why he turned to serial dramas.
